Jenny Mortimer

I like to read stories about the lives of career women like me, but such books are rare, so I started writing the stories myself, drawing upon the truth-stranger-than-fiction from my life as an ICT executive in New Zealand, Australia, America and England.

In 2011 I completed a Graduate Diploma in Creative Writing and learned how fiction is supposed to be written.

Trilemma is my debut novel. The corporate events are based on real world experiences, with an element of mystery and a bit of romance. There is also a certain amount of critique of New Zealand culture; I am a kiwi, so I’m allowed to poke shit at the kiwis.

Trilemma is being published by Oceanview Publishing in February 2014..

I am working on the following new books:

The Girl who liked Tarragon Stew based on the gambling industry and set in France.

Lies and Damned Lies, based on the software industry and set in Waiheke Island, Macau, Hawaii and Christchurch.

Bad Bugs and Bad Buggers, based on scientists in an Environmental Science and Forensics Research Institute in Porirua and the Kapiti Coast.
